Happy Happy New Year!

Happy New Year's 2011! I cant believe how fast a year has flown by... many many things have happened last year for little ol me, first being I got engaged to an amazing boy, moved to Memphis, started a new position at my current job, ect., Whew big changes!

For this year I'm planning on settling down in my new city of Memphis, TN. Get involved in a church out in the area and truly enjoy LIFE:)

My new years started out with a wonderful e-mail from one of the franchise owners I service. Its funny how powerful kind and encouraging words have on people especially on New Years.

Hello and Happy New Year, Gina:

Might I pass on a comliment, here? A franchise owner and I were speaking a couple of days ago, and she told me you had responded to an inquiry/request she made recently, and she was VERY complimentary of you and how knowledgable you are and how very helpful and patient. I totally agree, and said so. You are truly an asset to the company, franchisees, and your parents (I am sure). I can't help but think of your youthful age and that makes your professionalism and extent of knowledge all the more amazing. Gina, I just want you to know how much you are admired and appreciated - because you ARE. I am thankful, knowing that you are available to help us, and am REALLY looking forward to meeting you at our regional meeting in February! Thanks for all you do!

Happy Turkey Trot!

Happy Turkey Trot and to all a very Merry Thanksgiving. Today my wonderful family took part in starting a brand new tradition, running the Levis JCC 5K Turkey Trott.  I have been "training" for the past two week :) and surprisingly I was able to get below 30 minutes! WWOHOOO!  On another note, this Thanksgiving my family really wanted to reflect on what we were truly grateful for... Now, your probably thinking every year you should reflect on what your thankful for, and yes I agree. However this year we challenged our whole family to take part in a 21 day Gratitude Challenge.

Have I sparked your attention yet? Okay good... what exactly is a 21 day gratitude challenge you ask?!? I'll give you a little idea...

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.

The first part of our challenge was to write out from A-through-Z everything we were thankful for. It was a surprisingly difficult task but very rewarding on it completion. After we finished my family went around the room and shared their list.
